How does outcome-based credits work?

One credit = one estimated task-hour. We debit the credit when the dispatcher fires the task. If the verifier marks the work failed, the credit auto-refunds. You only pay for what shipped.

Can I leave anytime?

Yes. Two-click cancel from /settings/billing. Your data exports as JSON, your GitHub repo stays in your org, your Stripe customer stays with you. We give you a 30-day grace period to download everything.

What if a task fails?

The credit is refunded automatically. We classify failures as transient (auto-retry up to 3), logical (1 retry then refund + escalate), or hard (immediate refund + escalate). No support ticket required.

Do I need to provide my own API keys?

For self-host, yes. Anthropic at minimum. For the managed astru.app deployment, we include the LLM costs in the tier price. Cold Outreach + Social always require your own accounts regardless of tier. We never send or post from a shared handle.

How many credits will I actually use?

One credit ≈ one estimated task-hour, and typical tasks cost 1–4 credits. Solo (30/mo) covers ~30 task-hours a month, typical for a one-person company. Growth (100/mo) and Pro (300/mo) scale that up. Use the ROI calculator on the homepage for a personalised estimate.

Can I self-host on my own server?

Yes, and self-host access is in private beta today. Apache-2.0 license, docker-compose stack, and Render/Fly/AWS templates are all in the repo. The installer and the repository are not public yet. Email hello@astru.app if you want in while it is closed.

What's the difference between Solo, Growth, and Pro?

Every tier runs the daily autonomous cycle (8am local). The difference is the monthly credit pool (30 / 100 / 300) and the support level: Growth adds priority support + roadmap influence; Pro adds a dedicated Slack channel + 30-min SLA. Every tier starts supervised: you raise the autonomy dial per agent class when you trust it.

How does Managed (BYO) work?

$0 base. You own your Stripe via Connect. We take 15% of the revenue we help you generate, transferred monthly. White-glove onboarding + dedicated success manager.

Can I run agents on my own without a daily cycle?

Yes. The recurring-task scheduler is independent of the daily cycle. You can also trigger one-off tasks via the chat surface at any time.

How does the verifier actually verify?

Per-task verification plan: HTTP probe, SQL read, Lighthouse audit, LLM judge with a rubric, or a combination.

Sonnet 5.5 for planning + most agent work; Haiku 4.5 for triage + cost-sensitive paths; Opus 5.5 for complex planning when warranted. The model router picks per-task, visible in Langfuse traces.

Will my data leave my account?

No. Your GitHub repo lives in your org. Stripe customer rows live in your Stripe. Social tokens are in your Vault. We never post from a shared handle.

Money, irreversible, and gatekeeper-touching tasks always gate, regardless of autonomy dial. You get an email and a Telegram/WhatsApp card with approve/decline. Your decision applies immediately. On Autonomous, everything else runs without you.

Every external input passes through risk-tier classification before any tool call. The verifier is the final gate: if work doesn't pass acceptance criteria, it doesn't ship and the credit refunds.
